Celebrating her 1 year work anniversary, we put Amanda in the spotlight to get the inside scoop of what it’s like to be an Senior Account Executive along with a few of her handy work tips for good measure.
How did you get in to account management? My first job was in a tech start up and I fell in love with the marketing side of the projects the most. After a while I decided it was something I really wanted to work in and made the move.
What does your role look like day-to-day? Every day is a little different for me because I work on such a varied account, liaising with the client and feeding back to the internal team.
What’s your top tip for communicating effectively with clients? To always pick up the phone or have a face-to-face when you are unsure about something. A lot can be lost over email.
What’s your top tip for working from home? Make sure you keep a routine and set up a comfortable working area.
What motivates you? Seeing the final product and a happy client at the end of a project.
What’s your pet peeve? Tuesday traffic… Why is it always worse?
What’s the one thing you look forward to most each day? Snacks.
Why did you choose Shoot the Moon? Initially it was because of how different the account I would be working on is… but it turns out the team is a good bunch of people as well!
What was the last film that you watched? The Dark Knight.
How do you relax after a long week at work? Put on fluffy socks and have a gin or 2!
