Meet the Team

Emily Hinchliffe is a Senior Account Executive. Having been part of the team for over two years, she’s played an integral part to growing the Pets at Home and TUI brands. We caught up with Emily to find out the key to a successful client relationship along with top tips for effective planning.

How did you get to where you are today?

If you asked my parents, they would say that I “get sh*t done” and I would say that’s how I’ve got to where I am today. I’ve always been determined and a bit of a perfectionist.

I studied Advertising and Brand Management at university which grew my love for all things branding. My Dad has worked in Marketing all his life, so in a way I’ve followed in his footsteps.

Top tip for keeping on top of projects

Patience and planning is key. Also a bit of printing out and scribbling notes down always helps.

What’s the key to a successful client relationship?

Being open and honest from the start and trying to understand and know people on a personal level. Asking someone how their day or weekend has been breaks down barriers and can really make someone’s day!

What’s the first thing you do when you get to your desk?

It’s got to be the double brew – one regular tea and one peppermint. Once I’ve made these, I can start my day by checking my emails and seeing what’s going on in this crazy world that we live in.

Favourite part about working agency side?

I love the fast paced workflow. You’re also exposed to so much more agency side so from a learning perspective it’s great.

Best advice you could give to a client?

When briefing in projects the more information the better! It gives us a better understanding of what is expected as a final result.

When was the last time that you laughed so hard that you cried?

Either on my last holiday with my friends or on my last night out. We always get up to no good.

Favourite Manchester spot?

There are so many great places. I’ve recently moved to Altrincham and love going to Altrincham Market and all the lovely bars and restaurants that surround it.

Which Netflix series are you currently hooked on?

I’m loving the US Office (I know I’m only just jumping on the bandwagon). I’m also obsessed with the Shagged, Married, Annoyed podcast. I find myself laughing out loud on the tram on my way to work listening to it.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Cooking. I find that it relaxes me!
