The backstory

Situated in the heart of Manchester’s China Town, Try Thai understands the importance of serving authentic Thai cuisine in a colourful and vibrant atmosphere. And it’s from this that Try Thai has built a long-standing reputation for being one of the most popular Thai restaurants in the city of Manchester.

The challenge

An established client of Shoot The Moon’s through offline advertising and photographic services, Try Thai requested a redesign of their existing website in order to bring their business up-to-date and inline with the recent improvements that had taken place throughout the restaurant.

Dated by both style and technical execution, the previous Try Thai website didn’t showcase the atmosphere and experience that Try Thai presented to its customers.

The Solution

Leveraging vibrant and emotive photography of the establishment , customers, staff, food and drinks, immersive imagery would play the main role in Try Thai’s online presentation.

Shoot the Moon undertook the re-design and development of the website as a means to create an online look and feel that would be modern and relevant to the Try Thai brand and become a reflection of the food served and the ambiance generated within the restaurant. Communicating the enthusiasm of the Try Thai staff while maintaining the following two ideals: Eastern Vibrance and Sense of Occasion.

The Results

Promoting an “event” dining experience for every patron was achieved with striking imagery and colour palette , inter-woven through intuitive navigation. This provides new visitors with an immediate expectation and anticipation of fine food and service, displayed through a consistent presentation across mobile, tablet and desktop platforms.
